The Do's and Dont's of wedding makeup

So the weddings have began. With spring approaching we will be in the thick of wedding season. Which can only mean one thing. Bridal trials! So lets talk wedding makeup, the biggest question seems to be what makeup do you want? Is it too much?

To be honest though who's to say what is right or wrong? I've had more subtle brides that wanted no lashes or very subtle lashes, no liner or just individuals lashes. Then I have done makeup for more full glam brides that want the smokey eye, the full coverage foundation winged liner and a full lash.
At the end of the day its what you want to wear. What you feel comfortable in. You want to be the best version of yourself on your wedding day.

For this reason, trials are very important. This is a chance for your makeup artist to perfect that idea you have in your mind. Don't be scared to say, a little bit darker, a little bit lighter, Wear it throughout the day so you can get used to it. But also on the flip side trust your artist! This is your job. You don't want to look back at your wedding photos and be like...'I cant even tell if I'm wearing makeup'.

Look at Pinterest and Instagram and see what you like, what you would maybe love but its a bit too daring. Can you get a softer version of a specific look? Remember what will suit you.

The biggest thing is to be realistic in your goals, alot of images online are edited, remember that. Don't be too hard on yourself, don't overthink it. Also don't be too hard of your artist they have to bring you idea to life so be as descriptive as you can be if you have a clear vision in your mind. I do have a previous blog specifically on bridal trials that you can fine here.

When it comes down to it though as long as your happy with how your makeup is and how it makes you feel then that's all that matters. Who cares what traditionally brides didn't wear a lot of makeup. You do what makes you feel good and if glowing skin with a blinding highlight will make you feel better then do it!! You can look back at your wedding pictures with your grand kids and say, 'Yup your grans highlight was poppin' and my brows were flawless child!'.

Bottom line you pick the makeup that makes you feel like a princess whether that's full glam or soft glam.

(here are some gorgeous brides I have had the pleasure in glamming for their big day).
