So the lovely team at Skinkissed got in touch with me and sent me one of their amazing serums. I have been using it for about 2 and a half weeks now and so far I am in love!! So I thought I would do a little product review.
First lets talk about the facts!!
The serum is 100% natural, animal cruelty free and water based (no greasy oily residue, bonus!)
It contains Vitamin C which helps create younger looking , firmer skin - always a winner. It also evens out the skin's tone and texture (fighting those annoying breakouts) and minimizes fine lines/wrinkles. As an antioxidant Vitamin C will help protect the skin against damaging free radicals.
It also contains Hyaluronic Acid. This is known for its capacity to hold onto water therefore enhancing the skins moisture. It is able to penetrate the skins upper layers to improve the skins moisture so it looks softer,smoother and radiantly hydrated. This is always a deal breaker for me.
And last but not least; Collagen. This beauty helps give our skin elasticity and strength while repairing those nasty dead skin cells. Our body's collagen unfortunately will naturally slows down as we get older. The amino acids found in collagen help minimise dark spots, thus helping uneven skintone.
What it does;
- Can be used as a primer/base for your makeup.
- Reduces the appearance of fine lines.
- Clears acne scars.
- Prevents breakouts.
- Hydrates dry and dull skin.
So I have been applying about 7-10 drops of serum every morning and night on my face and neck for 2 weeks now and so far I am hooked. Now I know your probably thinking, but her skins fine? and I'm not going to sit here and say I have awful skin but after falling pregnant my skin changed drastically. I am very red around my nose and cheeks and overall my skin is very dull. I have very dark circles- the Mcphillips curse,with texture around my chin and my skin is SO DRY!!!
Overall I'm happy with my results and my skin feels so smooth and soft. It doesn't feel as tight as it normally would and I haven't moisturied my face in the two weeks I have used the serum- just to really test how well it would hydrate. The appearance of my dark circles have faded as well as my lovely big rudolph nose. I also used this as a primer for a few days and found it worked really well. It does feel slightly tacky when applied but I like that as I feel it helps my makeup 'grip on', I know I'm weird. I am a lover of primer, it doesn't make sense to me to use foundation without one. My skin has been looking flawless with makeup on!! You cant expect to not look after your skin then just cake it with makeup to make it look better. Right? One of the best parts is its super affordable. Only costing £39.95 compared to some serum I have used from around £80+ but the guys at SkinKissed have gave me a 20% off discount code for all you lovely people to use

So here is my fresh faced before and after, excuse the disney pyjamas, no judging...
On the left; my before (only brows on). On the right; 2 weeks later, no makeup on |
