Make the most out of your bridal trial!!

Hello lovelies! So another new year means more weddings! So with wedding season fast approaching I thought Id write a little something on bridal trials! I personally feel the most pressure when doing wedding makeup! Its one of the biggest days in a girls life and they are entrusting me to make them look even more beautiful!! But most of us don't really know what kind of look to go for?

The most common look I am asked for is 'a soft glam'. You want to look like the best possible version of yourself, like you're glowing from within!

So here are a few tips that I feel are pretty important when going for your bridal makeup trial to help you get the most out of it.

Pictures - don't be afraid to bring a bunch of pictures/screenshots. It doesn't have to be the persons work (well I personally don't mind). This gives the artist the exact idea of the look your going for. Remember the 'smokey eye' that you have in mind could be a whole lot lighter than the artists interpretation of a smokey eye.

Be realistic - With that in mind, remember to be realistic with your choice of look. If you're not into wearing a lot of makeup don't go for the dark smokey look the model in the picture has. Majority of photos you see on Instagram etc are edited, this is the harsh truth. Not all of them, but most of them. If that girls skin is so smooth it looks fake then 9 times out of 10 it is.

Fake tan - if you're planning on wearing fake tan on the day of your wedding then wear the same tan on the day of your trial. Depending on how dark you go can make your makeup look darker.

Skin care regime - don't change up your skin care regime in the few months leading up to the big day. It could be disastrous. Find a skin care regime that works for you 5/6 months before and stick to it.

Lip products - Take note of the lip products used so you can top up on the big day. This is normally the last thing on your mind, most brides forget.

Bring someone - Usually bringing someone to your trial will give you an honest opinion and help make crucial decisions - small wing linger? No wing liner?

Hair trial - Its useful to have your hair trial the same day as your makeup trial to see if they compliment one another.

How will the makeup photograph - take loads of photos, flash/no flash etc. To make sure your 100% happy with your makeup and how it photographs. Remember your makeup can be ever so slightly heavier so that it shows in pictures.

These are just tips I have found useful that will help you get the most out of your trial. Remember its your day its all about what you feel comfortable with!
