That Special Day Bridal | Bridesmaid Shopping

If you don't know me then you will not know that I am getting married in November 2020! We want to try and be as super organised as possible (with the baby coming) and to be honest I thought the bridesmaids dresses were going to be the hardest things to get! I do around 20 brides makeups a year and most of them tell me its a struggle. Trying to get a colour that everyone likes and suits, a style that flatters everyone and most importantly they feel comfortable in. But of course that's in your budget. It would be so easy if money was not an issue but realistically when you have multiple bridesmaids were talking dress, shoes, hair, makeup, accessories and a gift. Per person.

My aunt tagged me on That Special Day Bridal Facebook page and I loved their dresses. When I found them on Instagram I was tagging my bridesmaids saving all sorts of pictures and generally stalking the page. I was starting to feel so much better about their positive reactions to dresses. So when they invited me to come to their store and have a look at dresses and collab with a little bridesmaid look I was thrilled!

I would just like to say that we all agreed on a dress, the girls tried them on and I took them home that day! I know, and I thought it was going to be stressful. We were in the shop for about 2 hours max (and that was me trying on a few sneaky wedding dresses too).
The girls who work there were absolutely amazing! They were so helpful and there was not one ounce of stress. The shop is absolutely beautiful and they showed me their plans and mood boards for when they move to a bigger premises and it looks even more stunning.

They do a huge range of dresses in pretty much every colour you can think of and dresses vary from £20 in their sale to around £200. I know crazy right?? I am not lying when I say there is something for everyone!!

As of now the shop is in Bathgate, although they are moving. However if you are not lucky enough to stay in bonny Scotland then they are online and can ship you sample colours of the dresses so you can see them in the flesh before you buy. Ideal!

I am so delighted that we got all the dresses with no stress and everyone is happy. I was honestly more stressed about bridesmaids dresses than I was my own - even though I still don't have mine haa!! Another job ticked off the list! But in all seriousness if you are a bride to be the check out their website or social media for wedding dresses, bridesmaid dresses and flower girl dresses. They are amazing!

I have also vlogged my visit and the girls asked if I would do a bridesmaids makeup look. Which you can watch here https://youtu.be/xaSzk3sihMg.

The dress I went for was the style Brooklyn, in the colour Mauve, which you can see on my lovely bridesmaid below.

Let me know what you guys think of the video :)
